In conjunction with TESCO EXTRA, we are holding a 2010 poster competition for this year's People's Carnival.

The aim of the competition is to find a backdrop design to our forthcoming posters and leaflets for the Peoples Carnival 2010. The winning poster design will be on carnival posters and leaflets for the forthcoming People’s Carnival.

The competition is is open to anyone, but we particularly welcome the involvement of school and college design students from Oldham. A prize will be given to the wining designer (to be announced) and the design will be credited to the designer (so it could be part of your CV).

Theme

The winning design will need to reflect this years theme of the People’s Carnival.

The 2010 theme is ‘MANY CULTURES, ONE COMMUNITY’

If wording is added to the design it must only be ‘People's Carnival’ and as a subtitle 'Many Cultures, One Community'. If you add the words to the poster you must leave space for our designers to superimpose other details such as whats on, dates and times, logo from sponsors etc. If you don't add any wording our designers will put the wording on themselves.

Design Specifications

Designs should be completed in the following formats:

Paper Design – A4, A3 (portrait only)
Digital Design – PSD, CDR, JPEG, GIF or PNG (all at maximum resolution to maintain quality)

If you wish you can scan your design into digital form and reformat it to PDF A4 so it can be sent by email.

Competition Deadline

The closing date for the competition will be April 30th. The winning poster will be used in our publicity campaign for 2010.

Note: The design will be used as the backdrop to the poster. Details of ‘whats on’ during the weekend will be added by our desiners.
