THE VIKING EXPEREINCE
For an educational trip into the dark ages of Viking exploration and way of life you can't beat better than our Viking experience. A fully built viking village with bonfire, huts etc and a Viking battle played out at regular intervals throughout Carnival Weekend..Great for the kids..more info soon

UK DANCE TROUPE COMPETITION
2008 will be the third Annual UK Dance Troupe Competition at Alexandra Park. Oldham Carnival will host the event again under the auspices of MANECCO. Last year saw eighteen teams from all over Northern England. We hope to attract more in 2008...more info soon

HORTICULTURAL SHOW
Oldham Allotments Society have kindly agreed to help organise this new and major addition to our carnival events for 2008....more info soon

OLDHAM CARNIVAL KARAOKE CHAMPIONSHIP
This competition was started in 2007 and consists of several heats in Oldham's pubs in the six months prior to the Carnival Weekend. More details of the heats and the venue soon...

PERFORMANCE PLAZA
Performance Plaza put on a range of activities such as dance, theatre and song, on Alexandra Park. In 2008 they will be located at the Lion's Den stage on Sunday (June 29th)...more info soon

CRICKET SIX CARNIVAL CUP
Details of the Oldham Carnival Cricket Six are still be ironed out. The competition will take place on Sunday June 29th...more details soon

SOCCER SIX CARNIVAL CUP
The Oldham Carnival Cup has become very popular since its inception in 2005. The 2008 competition will be held on Saturday June 28th...more details soon

FOOD STALLS
Our range of International Food will be on hand throughout the weekend in 2008. Last year our food included Indian, Mexican, Crepery, Baked Spuds, Burgers and Smooth fruits...more details soon

OLDHAM MINIS, MOTORCYCLES AND SCOOTERS
As always, Oldham District Mini Club will be putting on an impressive display of the wonderful Mini Cars for you to admire on Saturday June 28th. On the Sunday their place will be taken by the Motorcycles and Scooters..more info soon

STAGE ACTS
2007 Carnival saw no less than twenty-four local bands and clubs on our main stage. We saw some excellent local talent throughout the weekend. We hope the 2008 stage will be just as good....more details soon
