In conjunction with TESCO EXTRA, we are looking for a brand new logo, which will represent the People's Carnival this year and possibly into future years. The winning logo will be used on the carnival website and on all carnival publicity for the forthcoming People’s Carnival and beyond.

The competition is is open to anyone, but we particularly welcome the involvement of school and college design students from Oldham. A prize will be given to the wining designer (to be announced) and the design will be credited to the designer (so it could be part of your CV).

Theme

The winning design will need to reflect as many of the three central themes of the Carnival. These are ‘PEOPLE, CARNIVAL and OLDHAM’

Thats something to get your head around if its strictly design, but contestants can use the words as part of the design if they wish or a combination of words intertwined with images or imagery.

Design Specifications

Designs should be completed in the following formats:

Paper Design – A4, A5 or A6 (either landscape or portrait)
Digital Design – PSD, CDR, JPEG, GIF, PDF or PNG (all at maximum resolution to maintain quality)
Background Colour: White

Competition Deadline

The closing date for the competition will be April 30th. The winning logo will become official on June 1st 2010.
