Applying to Perform on Stage in 2010

At the People's Carnival we are able to provide an impressive stage for local artists, theatre groups, bands, singers and dancers to use throughout the weekend.

Its our intention to make the Carnival Weekend a great opportunity for local artists to display their talents to a larger, open air audience.

At previous carnivals the stage was full on both days with a vibrant mixture of perfomances from all strands of the performing arts. You will need to book as early as possible to secure your spot on the stage.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

If you are a local group or band, theatre company, solo act, singer, dancer of indeed any kind of stage performer, then we may be able to offer you a spot at our event.

Just one thing to consider! We do not pay for performances. We provide the opportunity for you to perform live on a big stage to an outdoor audience. A first class stage and sound system is provided.

Now then, if you wish to perform you will need to complete the form on this page and submit it with as much about your proposed act as possible.

We will let you know as soon as possible if you have been accepted and if you are, then we will give you the exact performance times etc nearer the event.

If we are in doubt, we may ask for some evidence of your performance. This may be provided b you as MP3 tracks, audio tracks, video clips etc. Alternataively, if you have no media evidence, we may want to watch you perform before we agree to your booking.

IMPORTANT

The People's Carnival is a family event and as such we do not allow inapropriate and/or offensive material on stage.

If booked, you must abide by the amount of time we have alloted you.

If you decide NOT to perform after we have booked you, then we ask that you notify us as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another performer
